two artists meet a philosopher
We are two artists who work in The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice. In September 2016 we began meeting regularly with philosopher Ben Colburn, thanks to an introduction from Catriona Forrest, then Public Engagement Officer with the Wellcome Trust-funded research project Global Interventions at the End of Life, University of Glasgow.

Autonomy, Holistic Assessment & Sensory Communication Tool, Training
The Art Team were asked to contribute a session on autonomy as part of a training session for clinical staff on the hospice’s new holistic assessment tools. These new tools support the hospice in developing its services with young adults.

Fragments: An Arts for Health Residency at Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre, Ireland
For the residency at Uillin, Kirsty was able to contribute our preliminary ideas around how autonomy could be integrated into a reflective creative arts and health practice.
Practitioner Working Groups
In the development of the Tracing Autonomy Framework, a series of working groups were held with clinical and family support practitioners from The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice and with practitioners from Sense Scotland and Enable Scotland.
